Oliver glanced at Chloe sideways as he sat behind the wheel of his little orange sports car as he drove them to the airport. The jet was leaving in a half-hour for Snowmass, Colorado. He was anxious to get out of Kansas, and not just because he was feeling restless, but because he truly thought it would do Chloe some good to get out of there for awhile, as well.

"Wanna listen to Christmas music?" he asked, reaching toward the radio.

Holding his gaze, she nodded, a soft smile on her lips, "I'm glad you invited me, I... wasn't too thrilled about spending Christmas in Metropolis." She admitted.

"I know," he admitted very softly, nodding a little. "I wasn't either."

"What is your reason?" She asked quietly.

Oliver was quiet for a moment. "It's a combination," he said softly. "Tess is part of it." He wouldn't lie to her about that. "But the other part, the bigger part...I wanted to spend it with you."

Her eyes widened a little at his confession and she cocked her head, "you would have spent it with me either way." It wasn't a question, but she sounded slightly uncertain.
