Neither of them had to work that day, so they'd spent most of it together. They'd eaten breakfast at a diner downtown, taken a long walk in the park, holding hands and talking and finally ended up back at the clock tower. A.C. had left a note saying he would be out for the night and he couldn't help but wonder if the other man had made himself scarce because he didn't want to bear witness to any of the romantic couple stuff. Grinning at her as he set the note back on the kitchen table, he raised his eyebrows. "A.C.'s out of town for the night."
