Oliver Queen

Oliver stood outside the theater on the square, leaning back against the brick building casually and looking up at the sky. His mind was working over the details of the case in Gotham that Bruce had been trying to figure out, but he was just as stumped as his friend was. He frowned a little as a drop of rain hit his face and he sighed a little as it was followed by another.

He looked out to the street and smiled a bit as he saw Chloe's car pull into a parking place. He pushed himself away from the building and headed toward her as she climbed out of the vehicle.

He stood on the roof of the Star City Gazette, staring out over the city, his hood and glasses hiding his face from any who might be watching him. Just two days ago, he'd assumed no one was paying much attention. But then an article had come out just that morning, from a new writer at the Gazette, titled, "Green Arrow: Star City's Batman?" and he knew he'd been mistaken. Someone was watching.

More precisely, the woman he'd met two nights ago at the bar and was supposed to go on a date with the next evening, was watching.

Star City's Batman? He scoffed. He was way cooler than Batman, if the other guy even really existed. All right, so he didn't doubt the other man existed. But really, who dressed up as a giant bat and thought that was cool?

Shaking his head, he looked down at the city streets, unusually quiet for a Tuesday night, which of course meant trouble was brewing.
