"Hm..." Chloe squinted for a moment then smiled, "well, Pete is awesome, I think that's a really good way to define him. When we were in high school, Pete, Clark and I hung out all the time, we had our own little scooby gang, we would try to solve the mysteries in Smallville, and, well, of course we didn't realize that the biggest source of all the mystery was right there with us," she grinned and rolled her eyes at herself, "Pete and I always thought Clark was weird, you know, even though he was our best friend, but we never really suspected just how weird."
There was a short pause and she smiled, "I guess I always saw Pete like the brother I never had, you know? And now I see Clark that way too, but it's different with Pete, he's an amazing friend."
