Second Date. With [livejournal.com profile] chloeas.

Oliver stood outside the theater on the square, leaning back against the brick building casually and looking up at the sky. His mind was working over the details of the case in Gotham that Bruce had been trying to figure out, but he was just as stumped as his friend was. He frowned a little as a drop of rain hit his face and he sighed a little as it was followed by another.

He looked out to the street and smiled a bit as he saw Chloe's car pull into a parking place. He pushed himself away from the building and headed toward her as she climbed out of the vehicle.

"Of course. You're a journalist. I assume you double and triple-check your facts." If possible, his grin brightened a little more.

She grinned slowly and nodded, "I always do, and if you ever need to cite your source's source, tell him to check forbes.com."

At that, he chuckled in amusement. "I'll keep that in mind." Truthfully, he didn't pay much attention to how QI did in comparison to other companies. It was doing fine, and while Oliver was a competitive guy when it came to some things, business wasn't one of them. He didn't think Bruce really cared either, but it had been a running joke between them for some time.

Smiling, she nodded at him, settling back against her seat, "let me know if you need more proof than that."

He smiled. "Will do," he promised, stretching his legs out in front of him.

She relaxed against the chair, glancing at him, "have you been here before?"

"I've been to roughly three-fourth's of the productions the group has put on," he admitted with a smile.

Raising her eyebrows, she cocked her head, looking at him, "impressive, a believer in supporting local artists, I see?"

"I think it's important to support your community in general," he told her, smiling faintly.

Nodding, she glanced over to the stage then back at him, "and yet, you don't believe in your local hero." She teased lightly.

He grinned involuntarily and gave her a slight shrug. "Haven't seen the guy myself, so..."

Chloe grinned softly and shrugged a little, "you've never seen Santa either, but you know he exists." She joked.
