Oliver stood on her doorstep less than fifteen minutes later, a single red rose in his hand as he knocked and waited. He was well-aware of what she'd been up to that afternoon with texting him while he was in a board meeting. She'd clearly learned that anticipation was almost as fun as the rest of their time together.

And he was full of anticipation.

Chloe smirked and took the rose, raising her eyebrows as shr stepped aside for him to walk in, "thanks, Don Juan, but I'm not looking to be wooed."

"Who said it had anything to do with wooing?" He raised an eyebrow at her, ignoring the blunt reminder of just where they stood with each other.

She closed and locked the door behind him then turned to face him again, "what was your point, then?" She asked lightly, even though her heart was beating fast.

A smirk tugged at his lips as he reached behind him and locked the door. "You'll find out sooner or later. Have a little patience." There was a knowing look ins his eyes. "Right now I believe I need a shower."

Chloe raised her eyebrows and placed the rose on the counter then cocked her head, stepping close to him, "a... cold shower?"

He reached out, sliding his arms around her and pulling her against him before he leaned down to kiss the corner of her mouth. Then he placed a kiss to her cheek before moving his lips to her ear. "More like...a shower for two."

Chloe grinned and shivered, closing her eyes, "that's a lot more like what I had in mind."

"I would hope so, the way you were teasing me all afternoon," he murmured, kissing her earlobe and then the side of her neck.

"Teasing you?" She echoed in mock shock as she wrapped her arms around his neck, "I was helping you..."

"I'm sure your intentions were strictly innocent," he responded, sliding a hand down her back and then beneath her shirt.

"Absolutely," she said with a shudder, looking up at him, her eyes dark. Those text messages had worked both ways.

He pressed his lips to her ear once more. "I'm calling your bluff," he whispered.

"Bluff?" She asked distractedly, holding her breath then turning her head and nibbling on his neck.
