Oliver stood on the rooftop of the clocktower, looking out over the city with more than a small amount of frustration.

Emil had given him the go ahead to resume 'regular duties' earlier that day, but unfortunately 'regular duties' did not, apparently, include dressing in green leather and taking down bad guys.

It had been nearly three weeks since the incident with Doomsday, and to say he'd been feeling restless was an understatement. It was beyond restless now.

Now he was just starting to feel useless.

And Oliver Queen did not enjoy feeling useless.

Heaving a sigh, he leaned heavily on the ledge, an unhappy expression on his face.

He returned the kiss without hesitation. "You know." His voice was quiet as the kiss ended a moment later and he gazed at her intently. "This would be a perfect time for that trip to Ireland."

Raising her eyebrows a little, she nodded, it would be the perfect excuse to keep him from getting upset over not being able to patrol or go on missions and also, she really wanted to spend some more time like this with him, enjoying his company and feeling his heart beating against his chest, knowing he was there with her.

"Give me a couple of hours tomorrow morning and we can leave in the afternoon."

His eyes lit up. "Really?" He was a little surprised that she didn't need more notice for work, at least.

Chloe nodded, raising her eyebrows, "I already told my editor I would be taking a few days off in the upcoming weeks and when he saw how many hours of vacation I had, he told me I had to before the end of the year."

She grinned softly and raised her eyebrows, "I just need to talk to my partner and finish a couple of things before we leave."

That made him grin. "Guess we should start packing. And I need to call my pilot. And make reservations at one of the cottages." He raised an eyebrow. "How many days of vacation?" he asked curiously, wondering if he'd be able to whisk her away on another trip before the end of the year.

Squinting a little, she nodded, "how about we fly back next Sunday?"
