Oliver had only been home from his visit to Lana Lang-Luthor for an hour when he heard the buzzer from downstairs sound. Glancing at the monitor, he spotted Clark standing there, staring up at the camera.

He sighed tiredly. He wondered how long it would take the super-powered farm boy to show up on his doorstep after that article in The Inquisitor had hit the stands that morning.

Actually, he'd expected a visit from him a little sooner than now. Taking a drink of his lemonade, he buzzed Clark up and waited.

Chloe smiles brightly at him and nodded, "I would never tell her." She promised.

He smiled back at her, relaxing and leaning back against the counter. "I should be getting ready for patrol," he admitted, glancing toward the room that held all of his gear. "You're welcome to stay here if you wanted to keep an eye on the computers."

Her face fell a little at his words, "you're going out again? You should get some rest, Oliver." It had to be almost four in the morning and he hadn't gotten any rest tonight yet.

He paused at that, then glanced at the clock. He hadn't realized how late it was. In a couple hours the sun would be up. He let out a breath, admitting to himself that he was tired and she was probably right. Besides in a few hours, it would start all over again.

Nodding a little, he grinned. "All right. You win this time."

She raised her eyebrows in surprise but smiled at him, "really?" she really expected him to tell her he was only gonna be out for a while and then come back, but this was a much better answer. "Okay, good, we should both get some sleep, more sleep in my case."

Smiling wanly, he nodded and pushed away from the sink, pausing and dropping a kiss on the top of her head before turning and heading down the hall toward his bedroom. "Night, Sidekick."

Her eyes widened a little as she watched him walk away, she couldn't help but smile softly and shake her head. She never knew what Oliver would do or say and that was nice.

"Night, boss." She called after him before setting her mug in the sink and going back to her room.
