Oliver stared out over Metropolis from his place on the roof of the clock tower. Christmas had been surprisingly calm and nice, despite the way Clark had kept staring at him throughout dinner, like he knew something was going on but couldn't quite figure out what it was. It had been nice to see Mrs. Kent, as well.

But things between him and Chloe were still off and he wasn't sure it could be fixed. Not that there was anything to fix, really. They weren't together.

Sighing softly, he rubbed a hand over the back of his neck and turned to head inside once more. He needed to start packing so he could head back to Star City in the morning.

Oliver held onto her even as he tugged the covers back on her bed, gently laying her down on it and brushing some hair out of her face, his eyes soft.

Chloe shifted on the bed then opened her eyes again, looking up at him.

"Get some sleep," he whispered.

With a nod, she turned on her side, towards him, a little more awake now, she really just wanted to ask him to stay there with her, but she didn't want to make things worse so she shrugged a little, her voice quiet, "thanks."

Oliver swallowed hard, hoping he wouldn't regret what he was about to do later. "Can I stay?" he whispered, voice barely audible.

Her eyes widened a little at his words but she nodded, shifting on the bed again, making room for him.

Oliver slowly crawled under the covers beside her, closing his eyes as he exhaled slowly.

Moving closer to him, she hesitated before wrapping an arm around him, she didn't want him to leave to Star City, with no reason to get back to Metropolis for however long, with things the way they were.

Whether he wanted to admit it or not, this is what he really needed. He slid his arms around her, as well, burying one hand in her hair. "I'm sorry," he murmured against her cheek.

Her arms tightened around him and she nodded, hiding her face in his neck, she had missed him a lot in the past few days, it had felt like forever since they'd been this close, "I'm sorry too," she said quietly.

He relaxed, pressing a kiss against her hair and tightening his arms around her, as well. "I hate fighting with you."

After a second, she pulled her head back and looked up at him, "I hate it too."

He cupped her face in one hand, gazing at her in the darkness of the room. "So what do we do about it?" he asked softly.

"I don't know," she admitted quietly, arms still tightly around him, "I just want things to go back to normal."

Oliver kissed her softly on the lips. "Me too."
