Oliver stood outside the theater on the square, leaning back against the brick building casually and looking up at the sky. His mind was working over the details of the case in Gotham that Bruce had been trying to figure out, but he was just as stumped as his friend was. He frowned a little as a drop of rain hit his face and he sighed a little as it was followed by another.

He looked out to the street and smiled a bit as he saw Chloe's car pull into a parking place. He pushed himself away from the building and headed toward her as she climbed out of the vehicle.

"The holy trinity?" He quirked an eyebrow at her, amusement clear in his expression.

At that, she smirked a little, "Burger, fries and milkshake," with a shrug, she raised her eyebrows, "hope I'm not offending your religious beliefs, but in my family, that's what we devote ourselves to."

He laughed, leaning back in the booth. "That explains Dirty's," he teased, shaking his head a little. He was completely intrigued by the pretty reporter. She was a mass of contradictions, and by far the most interesting person he'd met in a long time.

"Exactly." She grinned, leaning back against the booth and watching him, it was weird that he didn't seem to think any of her crazy little things were, well, crazy, or strange.

Chloe and Lois both had agreed that the reason why they had never been able to maintain long-term, healthy relationships was because they had each other and somehow, that connection they had scared guys off, well, either scare them off or had them coming and suggesting threesomes, in which case, they kicked them off, but either way, they were okay with that happening because if the guy couldn't deal with both of them, then he was no good for one of them anyway.

Something about Oliver's reactions, though, it almost threw her off because they really weren't what she expected most of the time.

He grinned, gazing back at her without waver.

Oliver's reasons for being unable to maintain a long-term, healthy relationship were more simple. He'd never really wanted one. And even if he had, his nightly activities would certainly make things difficult. It would always come down to a choice: being upfront about who he really was and risk other people's lives and his own by revealing that information, or sneaking around. And women tended not to like the latter.

Chloe, on the other hand, was equally interested in his alter-identity as she seemed to be in his regular one. But that still didn't mean it would be safe. Not by any means.

Chloe kept her eyes on his the whole time then cocked her head, blinking as she realized she might have been a little lost in thought, "so is there a particular flavor I should go for or are they all equally amazing?"

"I'm rather fond of my the strawberry myself, but the chocolate's good, too," he told her, resting his arms on the tabletop and smiling.

"Strawberry is usually my flavor of choice, unless you have peanut butter chocolate option." She looked at him for a second longer then opened the menu, looking down at it.

"Is peanut butter chocolate a Dirty's special?" he asked, raising his eyebrow.

Raising her eyebrows, she shook her head, "not necessarily, they have it but other places have it too, don't tell me you've never tried it before..."

"Okay, I won't tell you," he responded with a smirk, picking up the other menu from the table and opening it.
