Oliver didn't sleep well that night. Even after deciding to go patrolling for another couple of hours after Bart walked in on him and Chloe, he still wasn't quieted enough to rest. He tossed and turned, alternately staring at the digital clock on his bedside table, and staring at the ceiling.

More than once he'd contemplated just going across the hall to Chloe's room to talk out what had happened, or better yet, spend the night in her bed. But he'd resisted.

He knew they were going to have to at least try and explain things to Bart today. He didn't think the younger man would say anything, if for no other reason than because he was now terrified of Chloe.

A faint smile touched his lips as he thought about how hot she'd looked pissed off like that. He groaned, throwing an arm over his eyes and willing his brain to shut off. Especially when it came to thoughts like that.

By sunrise, he finally gave up on the notion of sleep and rose from his bed, showering just to help him keep his eyes open, and heading down the hall to make coffee.

"Good friends," Oliver added, glancing up and meeting her eyes for a moment, before looking back at Bart.

"Wait..." He sat up, looking between the two of them then looking at Chloe, "so you're sleeping with him and you're just 'friends'?" Bart smirked, cocking his head, "hey, Chloe, you're my friend, right?"

With a deep breath and an eye roll, she gave him a warning look, "Bart..."

"I'm joking, 'Licious, calm down." He grinned a little and shrugged. He had to give it a try.

Oliver shook his head a little and sat back against the sofa. "So you understand why this is complicated, right? And why you can't tell anyone--especially Clark?"

At the mention of the other man's name, Bart's eyes widened, "dude, he'd torch you."

He grimaced a little. "Exactly."

Chloe shook her head a little and looked between the two of them, she knew Clark wouldn't get it and she didn't want him to know, but she knew he would never harm either one of them.

Although, for now, she didn't want to reassure them of that, because if Clark didn't know, Lois wouldn't either and that was her main concern.

"Which is why no one can know."

Bart shrugged and took another bite of his food, "as long as I don't ever have to see anything like that again, I rather forget it happened."

He looked over at Chloe, "well, not the part where you were mostly naked." He smirked.

Oliver narrowed his eyes at the younger man. "Be best for you if you forgot that too, Impulse," he responded.

Bart's eyes widened again as he looked at Oliver, "what? It's not like you're her boyfriend..."

Chloe sighed and looked at Bart, "just forget everything about last night and focus on your food."

He shot Bart a glare, but remained silent, letting Chloe's words be the last of the subject. Though Bart had brought up a good point--he wasn't Chloe's boyfriend, and he didn't know why he felt so defensive about it.
