Oliver's mouth was set into a hard frown as he made his way into the Watchtower after a long day at Queen Industries. In the middle of the day, he'd checked his email and found out a rather disturbing piece of information from Lois that had bothered him ever since. Sitting through a board meeting and then having to field calls from overseas investors had been more than a tedious chore when all he'd wanted to do was get back to the Watchtower and talk to Chloe.

If there was one thing he didn't like, it was being in the dark, especially when it came to people he cared about. He stepped into the main room, where she was sitting behind her computer, though he knew she knew he was there. There were security monitors all over the place.

He simply folded his arms across his chest, leaned against the wall and waited for her to turn around.

"Easy for you to say considering you didn't just find out that your best friend had a power, nearly died from it, then got experiemented on in a LuthorCorp facility," he responded, rising to his feet.

She sighed deeply, rubbing her face a little, although the 'best friend' part didn't go unnoticed by her, it helped her be a little more patient with him.

"My power didn't nearly killed me, I healed Lois and while I appeared dead for a while," he didn't need to know the part about the morgue, "I was just... getting my energy back, I guess. But I was fine."

He forced himself to take a deep breath before he turned to look at her again. "Yeah, I see that considering you're right here." His expression was unreadable. "So healing someone drained you of your energy?" He frowned a little.

"Something like that," Chloe shrugged slightly and watched him, "I somehow took the person's injuries upon myself, but I healed much faster than normal, so it only took me a few hours to recover from that."

He grimaced a little, raked a hand through his hair again, and sat down once more. "How many times did this happen, Chloe?" His voice was quiet.

"Hm, that it actually knocked me out for a few hours?" Or days, whichever, "two or three times, I think."

He sighed softly, looking down at the floor. "But you don't have the healing ability anymore?"

Frowning, she shook her head, taking a deep breath and looking down at her lap, she wished so hard she still did, if she had, Jimmy would still be okay, "not since Braniac infected me."

He lifted his gaze to look at her once more, a sad smile on his face. "I wish I'd known about everything," he told her. "You know, before."

Chloe raised her eyebrows a little, "I don't think it would have made much of a difference," she said softly.

"You don't think I could have helped?" he asked quietly, leaning forward with a slight frown.

"Of course you could have," she said quietly and shrugged, "and you tried to, but I didn't listen."
