Oliver's mouth was set into a hard frown as he made his way into the Watchtower after a long day at Queen Industries. In the middle of the day, he'd checked his email and found out a rather disturbing piece of information from Lois that had bothered him ever since. Sitting through a board meeting and then having to field calls from overseas investors had been more than a tedious chore when all he'd wanted to do was get back to the Watchtower and talk to Chloe.

If there was one thing he didn't like, it was being in the dark, especially when it came to people he cared about. He stepped into the main room, where she was sitting behind her computer, though he knew she knew he was there. There were security monitors all over the place.

He simply folded his arms across his chest, leaned against the wall and waited for her to turn around.

"You're late," she informed him with a smirk on her face, she had already changed into workout-friendly clothes and was waiting for him to get to the Watchtower for their training section.

She turned her chair around so she could face him and her face fell at the expression on his face, "what happened?"

He pushed himself away from the wall and moved over to sit down in a chair across from her, gazing at her intently. "Got caught up at work. Sorry I'm late." He searched her eyes.

Chloe waved her hand and frowned harder at him, "that doesn't answer my question." She told him, even more worried now with the way he was looking at her, like he was... mad at her?"

He wasn't mad. Not exactly anyway. Mostly he was upset because since he'd learned what he had from Lois, he'd been imagining every terrible scenario imaginable that may have caused the situation to begin with. He just wanted answers. "Tell me what happened at the dam." His voice was quiet.

At that, Oliver fell completely silent, slowly sitting back in his chair as his mind tried to absorb that particular piece of information. Suddenly a lot of things from the last year made a hell of a lot more sense than they had before: Chloe taking over the Isis Foundation to help meteor-infected individuals, her having been in Lex's Black Creek facility...

He sucked in a breath, his eyes widening. "Chloe, when you were at Black Creek--"

"I like to refer to that as my guinea pig phase," she smirked a little, trying to lighten the situation, "but that wasn't because of my power, that was thanks to Braniac."

He stared at her, his eyes troubled. "Did they hurt you?"

"It wasn't fun," she told him, leaning back against the chair, "but it could have been worse."

Now he had no idea what she was even talking about. "Sorry, Sidekick, but I'm afraid you've lost me now."

Blinking, she cocked her head and looked at him, "okay, maybe we're not talking about the same thing, then, what did you mean by 'before'?"

"When your power developed," he said, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

Blinking, she nodded, looking down and shrugging, "oh, right," she smiled a little, embarrassed, "I have no doubt you'd have been great back up to have."

He chuckled. "In that case, maybe I should put a shirt on so you can focus on the training," he teased back, grinning.

"I'm sure I won't have a problem with that," she smirked, keeping her eyes on his face.

"Ouch. Bruise my ego a little more," he joked.

She just laughed and shrugged a shoulder, he knew he was hot, he didn't need her to tell him that too, "are we going to start or what?"

Pursing her lips together, she nodded, straightening her back, "okay, I guess that much I can remember."

"We'll practice it until your body remembers without your mind having to," he told her seriously.

Chloe smiled a little and nodded at him, "thanks for doing this."

He shrugged a little. "Well, I did hop a flight back to Star City pretty soon after," he teased. Then he shook his head. "If I hadn't known how wrapped up in Lana he was, I would've thought the two of you were together."

Smiling slightly she shrugged, "Clark is protective, I would criticize him if I wasn't too."

He nodded. "I didn't like being called on it at the time, but I get where he was coming from."

Chloe watched as he headed upstairs and nodded a little, "are you going out?"

"No. Just going to shower," he told her, glancing down the stairs at her.

She nodded, looking up at him, "go, then, I'll go next."
