Fun in the Sun. [Open to anyone who's in Hawaii!]

The jet ride from Kansas to Hawaii had been long, and most of them had dozed off and on during it. It had been a long time since he'd been to Hawaii, and he had been looking forward to it now more than he had even the first time he'd gone. And now, as he lay back on one of the sandy white beaches of Kauai, sunglasses on and a pina colada in one hand, he smiled, listening to the quiet sounds of the ocean lapping at the beach.

Chloe had gone to get a pina colada and while she did, she had taken the opportunity to check in on Lois and let her know the plane would be waiting for her and Clark at the Metropolis International Airport tomorrow once they were done with work.

She put her picked up her drink and walked back to where they had set up, smiling when she saw Oliver relaxing in the sun. She hadn't seen him so relaxed in a while, well, while they were in public, anyway.

Smiling to herself, she walked back to her empty chair and after throwing her phone in her oversized beach bag then sitting down silently not to disturb his peaceful moment.

His smile widened just a little more as she sat down beside him. He didn't even open his eyes, he just sensed her there. "Get a hold of Lois?" he asked, taking a sip of his drink.

"Of course not," she told him, sipping on her drink then shaking her head, not at all surprised that he knew she was there. With the whole vigilante thing, he was always aware of his surroundings. Which she considered a good thing.

"I left her another voicemail, I swear I don't know what's up with her these past few days..."

Oliver glanced over at her and reached out, resting a hand on her arm. "I'm sure she's all right, Chloe," he said gently.

She took a deep breath and nodded, shifting her arm out of his hand and taking his hand in hers instead.

"I know, I just worry about her..." Especially since the conversation they had had during their flight to California.

The peaceful sound of the ocean was broken occasionally by Mia's splashing in the water as she attempted to body surf and her whoops of accomplishment every time she made it to shore without getting tumbled over by a wave.

Every so often she'd pop her head up to locate Oliver and Chloe on the shore, just to make sure of their location before going back to her fun.

Oliver heard her whooping and chuckled softly, sitting up enough to watch her for a moment, a grin on his face. He waved at her, his eyes bright behind the glasses. It was good to see her so relaxed and happy.

Mia waved back and secretly made plans to cup some water in her hands on the way back to shore and drop the cool liquid on Ollie's tanning chest. It would serve him right for being too far away to splash.

He slid his glasses off and rose to his feet, heading toward the water with a grin.

Mia floated on her back with her eyes closed, letting the waves rock her body from side to side. The water wasn't that cold and it felt nice with the way the sun was beaming down and trying its best to fry them all to a crisp.

There was only so long Chloe could stay in the sun, considering her paleness, so once she finished her drink, she decided to join Mia the water, even if she didn't plan on going that far into the ocean, she could still watch her.

Mia waved to Chloe and dove under the water to come popping up next to her where it got shallow. "Nice, isn't it?" she said, paddling around the other woman. "That water wasn't even this warm in Star City."

Chloe shook her head a little and smiled, "it really isn't, this is nice, I didn't expect the water to be so nice."

She bent her knees so the water was all the way up to her shoulders, "now I see why you've been in here most of the day."

"I like being in water. It's...peaceful," she said, quietly, tipping her head back to wet her hair again. "We should put a pool in the Watchtower."

Michael was laying in the sand in a pair of ripped jeans and no shirt. He was enjoying the sun beating down on his back and just...the feeling of relaxation. It was a feeling he didn't get very often, so he savored it. His gaze went from Mia in the ocean to Oliver and Chloe sitting next to each other. They all looked happy and after what he'd heard, everyone needed it. Letting out a breath, he let his head drop back to the warm sand, eyes closing.

"What do you think?" Oliver sat down in the sand beside him a few moments later, glancing down at his psuedo-nephew.

He opened one eye to glance up at his pseudo-uncle and smiled slightly. "It's definitely warm."

He grinned. "Nice change from Kansas," he said with a nod, looking out over the ocean.

"Yeah, it is." He propped himself up on his elbows, which didn't do much since they sank into the sand, but he tried. "Mia looks like she's having a blast."

"Come in, lazy-ass!" Mia called to Michael from the water. She pushed her wet hair over her shoulder and smoothed it back and up into a pony-tail. Then she waved the end of the shortened surf board at him. "I promised you a dunking."

Michael laughed and pushed himself up from the sand, jogging to the water, pants slung low on his hips. "Hey. I thought vacations were for being a lazy ass." His feet hit the water and a mischievous glint formed in his eye. "You're gonna dunk me? Oh, it's on."

"You can lie around being a lazy ass after you get some exercise," she teased, already sending a wave of water his way with her hands before slipping onto her stomach on the board and paddling away.

When Ollie went into the water to say hi to Mia, Chloe looked to the other side and saw Michael sitting there by himself. She had never really spoken to him before, and although he seemed like a nice kid, he kinda... intimidated her.

Not because of his personality or anything, but because of who he was. And although she knew it was silly because they both knew he wasn't her son, it was weird to think that a different, definitely older version of herself had kids.

With a deep breath, she stood up and walked over to where he was, maybe if she actually talked to him, it would make things easier.

"Hey," she smiled a little, "mind if I sit down?"

He wasn't really expecting to hear Chloe's voice above him and he shifted to look up at her. They'd barely spoken, which seemed a little weird to him since he never had too much of a problem talking to his mom. But seeing this younger version was a little trippy. Yet, he welcomed her talking to him. He nodded, patting the sand. "Yeah, go ahead."

She smiled at him and sat down, looking over at the water where Ollie and Mia were for a second then at Michael, "have you been to Hawaii before?" She asked curiously, aside from what Ollie had told her, she didn't know much abotu Michael at all.
